Megan Paslawski's "Chuck" is a monumental piece, raw and unflinching in subject matter yet exhibiting a broad compassion. It tells the story of a lesbian couple, thrust into the roles of carer and patient after an accident that leaves Kimmy paraplegic. Pam has to learn to juggle this new responsibility with her duties to her unsympathetic teenage son and ageing father who both propound the virtues of a 'dignified death.' Paslawski is definitely a writer to watch.
